During Monday’s plenary session, the following senators formally stepped down from their roles:
- Joel Villanueva (former Senate Majority Leader)
- JV Ejercito (former Deputy Majority Leader)
- Loren Legarda (former Senate President Pro Tempore)
These resignations were triggered by Juan Miguel Zubiri’s decision to resign as Senate President.

In the same session, Nancy Binay resigned from her roles as chairperson of the Senate’s ethics and tourism committees. Meanwhile, Sonny Angara stepped down from his position as chairperson of the Senate finance committee and the subcommittee on constitutional amendments.
